Ewan McGregor reportedly files for divorce from wife of 22 years

The couple are said to have split in May last year.

Ewan McGregor has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis.

According to TMZ, the Fargo actor cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Documents obtained by the publication say that the 46-year-old is seeking joint custody of their kids: 21-year-old Clara, Jamyan, 16, and Esther, 15 and Anouk, 6. The website states that Ms Mavrakis filed her response, which states she is asking for sole custody with visitation. The couple are said to have split on May 28 last year. They announced their split last October after the Star Wars actor was seen kissing one of his Fargo co-stars. McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were seen in deep conversation before sharing a number of kisses in front of other customers at a London café. Onlookers say the pair looked 'incredibly comfortable' with each other and spent a few hours there in plain sight of other customers. Mary Elizabeth, who confirmed her split from her husband Riley Sterns earlier last year, later got on the back of Ewan's motorbike and the pair drove off. The Scott Pilgrim vs. The World star, 32, plays the dad-of-four's love interest on the hit TV series Fargo.  The series is currently on an extended hiatus as series creator Noah Hawley works on a number of other projects.
