Epic Fail: E! News Apologise to Actor After Broadcasting This ‘Fun Fact’

The network has apologised to actor Michael J. Fox

E! Entertainment has been forced to apologise to actor Michael J.Fox following their coverage of last night’s Golden Globe Awards. 

While celebrities walked the red carpet on their way into the glamourous event, the network peppered their pre-show coverage with some ‘fun facts’ about the actors in attendance.

As part of these information tidbits, the network posted one which read “Michael J Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991” during its online live stream.

Fox was nominated at the awards for Best Actor in a Comedy for his new TV series The Michael J Fox Show.

The network said in a statement; “We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologise.”

It was not E!’s only health related ‘fun fact’ of the night either, with a second one reading ” Fun Fact: Robert Redford was stricken with Polio as a child”.
