Irish actor Emmett J. Scanlan and his wife Claire Cooper have welcomed a baby girl.
The Kin actor confirmed the news by posting a photo of him holding his newborn's hand on Instagram.
The doting parents welcomed a baby girl into their family earlier this month.
Claire confirmed their daughter's name is Fiáin-Luna. The beautiful Irish name means 'wild'.
The mum posted a photo from the hospital to confirm her daughter's arrival.
"Family complete. Welcoming our little blessing… Fiáin- Luna Scanlan.
"Irish Gaelic pronounced ‘fee-awn’ which means ‘wild’ our very own wild moon has joined the family & we couldn’t be happier.
Kin actor Emmett also posted a photo of their baby girl to share the news.
Alongside the sweet photo, the dad wrote, "3 days ago we met her…. #ScanClan."
Claire and Emmett are parents to a son named Ocean. He was born on July 18th, 2020.
Claire sadly suffered a miscarriage in 2019. Scanlan opened up about the heartbreaking loss during Baby Loss Awareness Week.
He shared, "July of last year we lost our baby and in the process, my wife was left fighting for her life. Exactly 12 months later and after 40 hours of labour with an emergency C-section Ocean-Torin was born.
"The trauma her body and mind went through in that year is beyond anything I can possibly comprehend. Helpless, all I could do was hold her hand. And once again, I fell in love just a little bit more."
Scanlan also has a daughter Kayla (20) from a previous relationship.
