Emmerdale’s Hayley Tamaddon shares first photo of newborn son (and confirms his name)

Her son was born two weeks ago.

Former Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon has shared the first photo of her "miracle" newborn son - and revealed his name. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the 42-year-old shared a sweet black-and-white photo of her son as she reflected on the "whirlwind" since welcoming him earlier this month. She said:

"2 weeks ago, and a little earlier than expected, I gave birth to our beautiful baby boy.. we have called him ...JASPER. "It’s been a whirlwind!! The most incredible life changing experience. It’s beyond anything I’ve ever felt. "It’s a love so strong and overwhelming, I just cry when I look at him! I feel truly blessed that he’s mine."

She went on to thank all of her fans for their "wonderful messages" and for "going non this journey with me, and letting me share my stories and pictures with you all." "There’s going to be a few more on here soon," she added. Hayley also thanked the "amazing midwives and doctors" at the hospital, for taking care of both of them so well. She ended the post with a sweet message for her newborn son. "Welcome to the world Jasper," she said. "Your mummy and daddy love you so very much. And I can’t wait to see what the universe has in store for you. I’ll be right there by your side, every step of the way."
