Emma Watson is afraid to go outside alone and hates when people recognise her as she goes about her daily life.

The star said she has become too famous to go outside alone and to visit museums and shops without being annoyed by the public and the paparazzi.

The actress has publicly struggled with the consequences of fame and said she would rather not be swamped by fans every time she steps outside.

According to The New York Times Style magazine Emma said: “If I went somewhere busy, I wouldn’t last very long. I can’t go to a museum, I’ll last ten or 15 minutes in a museum.
