Ellie Goulding speaks about her love of Irish music

If you grew up during the peak Tumblr days then there’s no doubt you were obsessed with Ellie Goulding’s debut album.

The English singer was the soundtrack to my teenager years and has remained a staple figure in the music scene ever since.

Goulding has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Calvin Harris. Her music is on movie soundtracks and she is the winner of two Brit awards and received two Grammy nominations too, but her wave of success hasn’t stopped Goulding from exploring new avenues.

The singer was recently in Dublin to celebrate the launch of a very different project. Like many celebrities, Goulding decided to launch her own alcohol brand and fans are raving about it.

The singer’s ready-to-drink cocktail brand SERVED landed this month and Goulding spoke to Her.ie following the launch.

Speaking about returning to Dublin, Goulding says she has incredible memories in the city.

She explained that Dublin made quite the pivotal role in the earlier days of her career.

“It’s amazing to be back in Dublin! I recorded my second album in Ireland, and it’s very close to my heart.”

“I’m here to support the launch of SERVED, my ready-to-drink cocktail brand,” Goulding shared.

Speaking about the Irish music scene, Goulding had nothing but good things to say about the talent coming out of Ireland right now.

The Love Me Like You Do singer has one Irish artist she’d love to work with one day.

She explained that she’d love to work with Northern Irish folk singer Cara Dillon one day.

“I’ve always been a fan of folk singers like Cara Dillon. I’d absolutely love to duet with her.

“Her voice has never not completely entranced me,” Goulding added.

Could you imagine how beautiful the singers would sound together? It’s evident that Goulding never shies away from new career opportunities so who knows, we may see her delve into folk music one day.
