Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson have welcomed their first child together

The actor and his wife Amy Jackson confirmed their baby boy's birth on Instagram last night.

The proud parents revealed that Amy had given birth to an adorable son and even revealed his name.

The new parents posted black and white photos of them cuddling their baby boy to reveal the news.

In the photo, their son is wrapped up in a blanket with the name 'Oscar' stitched into it.

Ed and Amy wrote: "Welcome to the world, baby boy. Oscar Alexander Westwick."

The name Oscar is of Irish origin and means 'deer-loving one.'

The traditional name may also mean 'friend of deer.'

Ed and Amy's followers showered them with loving messages following their announcement.

Famous faces like Michelle Keegan, Eleanor Tomlinson, and Zara McDermott congratulated the new parents.

One fan wrote: "Congrats dude. Life just exponentially better."

Another joked: "You should've named him Chuck."

"Oh my gosh!! What a name! Congratulations to you both. Enjoy this very special time," another said.
