Downton Abbey star Allen Leech announces engagement to girlfriend of two years

Downton Abbey's Allen Leech has announced his engagement to his girlfriend of two years.

The Irish actor has been dating Jessica Blair Herman since 2016. Herman is also an actor and has appeared in shows such as Modern Family and American Crime Story. Leech posted his announcement on Valentine's Day but said that he had proposed a while ago. He wrote:

In the period drama, he played the driver turned accidental aristocrat when he married Lady Sybil and she tragically died. Webster said that the two of them were "very career driven" and that it had been the wrong time for them to be in a long-term relationship.
