Doria Ragland won’t be taking the Queen up on the invitation to spend Christmas with the royal family.

According to reports, the Queen invited Meghan Markle’s mum Doria Ragland to spend the festive period at her royal estate in Sandringham.

It was presumed that Doria would make the journey to London but plans seem to have changed and she will be staying at home in California and spending Christmas there instead.

It’s believed that Meghan and Prince Harry will join Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte and baby Louis, at Sandringham which is pretty much the same scenario as what happened last Christmas.

There have also been reports that Doria would move to London to live in Frogmore Cottage with Meghan and Harry after the birth of their first child.

According to People, Doria will not be relocating to Windsor and instead, she may have specific rooms that are especially for her whenever she decides to visit her daughter and son-in-law.

As royal fans may be aware, they plan to move out of Kensington Palace to the countryside before the birth of their first baby and it’s believed this is because they want privacy to bring up their firstborn.

This year will mark Meghan’s second Christmas with the royal family for last year she also spent it with Harry and his family.

This is a break from tradition but as the former Suits star has no family in the United Kingdom, it’s thought that the Queen decided on a break from protocol for the very special occasion.

It’s sure to be a very exciting time for the family as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child in spring of next year and as you’ll see in the latest pictures of Meghan, she is positively glowing.
