It’s always nice to have support from your significant other but Hugh Jackman’s wife was less than enthusiastic when she heard that he was considering the part of Wolverine.
Speaking to Vulture magazine, the Australian actor admitted that Deborra-Lee Furness was against him taking on the X-Men role, going so far to say that the idea was “ridiculous”.
“She read three pages and was like, ‘You got claws coming out of your hands? This is ridiculous. Don’t do it’,” he recalled.
Jackman has since become well-known for his performance as Wolverine, playing the character in several movies including X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
