Fancy working for a Billionaire… for €50 a week?
This week Donald Trump rode into town (on his private jet) for his first visit since stepping on the Irish property ladder.
Back in February the real estate tycoon purchased Co. Clare’s stunning Doonbeg Golf Club, the 16th golf club in the Trump Portfolio and the first Trump Hotel Collection property in Ireland.
Trump promised to create hundreds of jobs and play a part in helping the country get back on its feet. Today however it emerged that the luxury resort on the Atlantic coast will be the hunting for staff for an operative position in their stores department via the infamous JobBridge scheme.

Replacing ‘The Apprentice’ with ‘the intern’, an advertisement on the FÁS website explained that the successful applicant “will gain practical experience working as a member of the stores team”.
The lucky candidate will get paid €50 for a 40-hour working week at the resort. The advert promises “an allowance of €50 per week” on top of the applicant’s dole.
Anyone interested in a position are asked to send their CV and a cover letter to Human Resources at Doonbeg Lodge.
