Doireann Garrihy reveals she’s pregnant with her first child

Doireann Garrihy is going to be a mum

The RTÉ radio presenter has revealed she's expecting a baby with her husband Mark Mehigan.

The couple confirmed the news on Instagram this morning.

Alongside a photo of the parents-to-be holding up a sonogram, Doireann wrote: "We are beside ourselves with joy. Here’s to the greatest chapter yet."

Doireann's followers quickly showered the mum-to-be with loving messages following the announcement.

Aoibhinn Garrihy wrote: "You two. What a lucky little baba…we cannot wait to meet you, little angel."

"This is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations, you guys. Now, if you need any tips on kids' fashion, you know who to call," Arthur Gourounlian added.

Carl Mullan added, "Absolutely Amazing news. A little swan baby. Massive congrats to you both."

One added, "Huge congrats! The absolute best adventure."

Another said, "What beautiful news!! Over the moon for you both… funniest parents incoming."

Amy Huberman, Georgie Crawford, and Miriam Mullins also congratulated the pair on their wonderful news.

The Irish radio presenter married comedian Mark Mehigan in a beautiful ceremony at the K Club on November 30th.
