Brian McFadden has lashed out at his no-show best man and has branded him “slime” after he refused to make it to the altar to support the former Westlife singer on his big day.
According to reports, Brian was left frantically trying to persuade another friend to stand by his side at the altar, after his original best man, Kyle Sandilands, failed to turn up for his wedding to Vogue Williams.
Brian has admitted that he has spoken to Kyle, an Australian radio presenter, since he was a no-show at Brian’s Italian wedding, which took place earlier this month.
Speaking at a Nickelodeon event, where he got covered in bright green slime, Brian said that he was so worried that Kyle would be a no-show on the big day that he secretly put five groomsmen in place, just in case.
“Speaking of slime. I had five groomsmen. I had plenty, just in case a few dropped out,” said Brian.
“Sh*t happens. At the end of the day, we had a great day at the wedding. We were just happy with everyone that was there and it was more about me and Vogue anyway, so it didn’t bother us that much,” he added.
Brian and Vogue got married in a lavish ceremony earlier this month.
Brian also revealed that himself and Vogue haven’t managed to get used to the Australian time zone yet, after they jetted home from Ireland.
“The two of us are so jet-lagged. We haven’t slept in two days. For some reason she got to say in bed,” he said.
It is believed that Brian’s best man may have pulled a sickie after going out drinking the night before the couple’s big day. However, Kyle himself claims that he couldn’t attend the wedding due to a severe migraine.
“I travelled and was up for 30 hours. I didn’t go out the night before like everyone else did as I was f**ked,” said Kyle.
“I got a migraine on the day and just couldn’t attend. Simple as that. That’s my devil, those headaches. Can’t do a thing about it,” he added.
