Dermot Kennedy sends sweet good luck message to aunt Mary Kennedy on DWTS

Were you today-years-old when you realised that superstar Dermot Kennedy is Mary Kennedy's nephew?

RTÉ broadcaster Mary Kennedy is currently competing on Dancing With The Stars Ireland. Dancing a Viennese Waltz on last night's episode, the Nationwide presenter gave a mention to her nephew whose song she chose to dance to. The song being What Have I Done and her nephew being the one and only Dermot Kennedy. Ahead of her performance last night, Mary called it a "special" one as she gets to dance to music written by the Outnumbered star.

And unfortunately, Dermot couldn't make it to be there with his aunt but he did send a little message which was played out before the performance.

“Hey guys it’s Dermot here. I’m on tour at the moment in Atlanta but I just wanted to send a little message to say best of luck to Mary and John this weekend.”

Mary explained that it wasn't just her and her partner John dancing this weekend but the "whole Kennedy family". Mary and John put on an incredible performance last night, pleasing the judges and scoring an impressive 16 points.
