Denise Van Outen has spoken about her upcoming Eastenders role, revealing that her character will stir up trouble.
The 40-year-old spoke to Alan Carr for Chatty Man and discussed her upcoming role as Karin Smart.
“The opportunity came up for this character and the time felt right,” said the star.
“The character is really fun and she is a bit naughty – surprise surprise.
“I thought she is going to go into The Square and stir things up a little bit. So I just grabbed the chance to play her.”
Her character will “shake things up”
Denise went on to say:Â “She’s a businesswoman and she really does shake things up in the Square.
“And there’s a bit of history there with Phil Mitchell… I can’t reveal too much but there’s definitely going to be fireworks.”
Denise will first appear in the soap on Thursday and if you want to hear more, the Chatty Man episode airs tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm.
