It can be hard to cope when an ex finally moves on, but Australian singer Delta Goodrem is showing us all how it’s done and says she is happy for Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams.
The Irish Independent reports that Delta dated the former Westlife singer for seven years and was engaged to him at one point. However, the pair’s engagement was called off last year. Now, a few months later, Brian is happily loved up with Fade Street star Vogue Williams and the couple are set to wed on September 2nd.
Despite the fact that Brian seems to have moved on super-quick, Delta has insisted that she doesn’t hold a grudge against him and that she wishes him nothing but the best for his future with Vogue.
Delta was engaged to Brian before they split.
“I only wish him the best. There’s nothing more to talk about when it comes to that chapter. It’s in the past,” said Delta.
“Keep our head high and be dignified. Right now it’s the time of my life,” she added.
Delta also denied that her new song, ‘Dancing with a Broken Heart,’ is about her former fiancé. The song contains the lyrics “fight fire with fire, the truth to a liar” and for the past few weeks there has been intense speculation about whether the lyrics are a dig at Brian, however Delta remains firm that the song has got nothing to do with him.
“People don’t know what went on. They only know at surface level. As you grow up different changes happen, betrayals happen. The song’s not specifically about one thing, it’s about when people disappoint you, you have to rise about with dignity,” said Delta.
“I’m trying to deal with everything in the best way I know how, which is expressed through song,” she added.

Brian and Vogue are currently in the middle of planning their big day. A few weeks ago, the pair booked the stunning Castello Di Vincigliata in Florence, Italy for their wedding and it is believed that the couple are forking out a huge €220,000 to ensure that their wedding is the wedding of the year.
