It’s a boy for Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali.
Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali have welcomed their second child together.
The couple announced the birth of their baby boy on Twitter.
Declan posted a photo of him holding his newborn son’s hand to share their special news.
He revealed their baby boy was born shortly before 10 am on July 23rd. The couple decided to call their son Jack Anthony Alphonsus.
He wrote: “Shortly before 10 am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus.
“A very welcome ray of light. He is wonderful and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister! D x”
The name Jack means God is gracious.
Fans couldn’t help but point out the sweet nod to Dec’s best friend Ant McPartlin.

One wrote: “The fact that he’s got Anthony as a middle name made me well up, heaven knows how the (now) Big Ant feels.”
Another penned: “So pleased you have something to smile about after such a difficult time.”
Declan and Ali also paid tribute to his late father by giving their son the name Alphonsus.
The presenter and his wife are also parents to a daughter Isla. Ali gave birth to their daughter Isla Anne Elizabeth in September 2018.
His son’s arrival comes shortly after Dec’s brother’s heartbreaking death.
Earlier this month, his older brother Father Dermott Donnelly died suddenly at the age of 55.
Declan confirmed his brother’s untimely death on Twitter.
“I am heartbroken to tell you that my darling brother Fr Dermott sadly passed away this afternoon.
“We are all beyond devastated,” the presenter shared.
