Footballer David Beckham thinks his friend Tom Cruise is “a really good person” and “a great dad.”
The pair have been friends since the Beckham family moved to Los Angeles in 2007.
According to Esquire magazine David said: ”Do I ride my bikes with Tom? Yeah I do. Have we become good friends over the years? Yes, we have become very good friends. It’s not a big celebrity thing. It’s just something that happened. And it’s good to have friends like that.
”He’s a really good person. Tom is one of the hardest working people I know. He never stops. He’s a great dad and he’s got a great family behind him.”

Despite their age difference the pair have established a strong friendship in recent years.
It was rumoured in December that David would be transferred to French soccer tram Paris Saint-Germain, but the footballer said his family are too happy in the USA to move to France.
”It was an option, obviously. We had to think about it because the five-year deal I signed here was up. And because I won the MLS championship last year, that was the thing that was playing on my mind. I was thinking maybe it’s time to move on.
”Living in Paris, playing for a big European team was enticing I must admit. It was something I seriously thought about. But we weren’t ready to leave. We’ve got a great lifestyle here. We’ve got great friends.”
