David and Victoria Beckham were bemused when Katherine Jenkins took to her Twitter yesterday to deny rumours of her affair with the footballer.
According to The Irish Mirror, the Beckhams were shocked that Katherine needed to deny the rumours in such a public way and they felt she did not need to respond to them at all.
A source told the paper: “Both she and David are a bit bemused as to why Katherine felt the need to do this in the first place.

“Victoria and David haven’t needed to have conversations about the claims.”
The couple believes that Katherine’s denial will only fuel further rumours of a relationship.
A spokesperson for the footballer said: “Unfortunately we have to deal with this type of nonsense on Twitter.
“One minute David is dead, then more scurrilous rumours, there is not any truth to any of it,” he said.
Yesterday, the singer revealed to her Twitter followers that she has not slept with David Beckham despite the rumours.
“Dear Twitter friends, I’ve read some horrible rumours on here and I want you to know I absolutely deny that I’ve had an affair with David Beckham.
The Beckhams are perplexed as to why the singer took to Twitter to dispel rumours
“The rumours are hurtful and untrue,” she wrote.
A spokesperson for Jenkins revealed that she felt compelled to dispel the rumours last night.
“She was being bombarded by hate messages from strangers, calling her every name under the sun.
“It was nasty, abusive and plain wrong. Katherine felt she had no option but to come out fighting and clear up these rumours once and for all. It’s been a horrible experience,” he finished.
