Irish presenter Craig Doyle said he is enjoying being part of the ‘This Morning’ family
Craig Doyle has opened up about working alongside Holly Willoughby on This Morning following the Phillip Schofield scandal. The Irish presenter has become a firm favourite with viewers of the breakfast show, so much so that they’re now calling for him to officially replace Schofield.
ITV has not yet confirmed who will take over from Phillip Schofield permanently but it looks like Craig Doyle could be the one.
Taking on such a big presenting job has been incredible, the Irish presenter said.
He told The Times: “I love doing the This Morning show. It’s great fun and I feel so grateful at this stage in my career to get an opportunity to do a show this size.”

Doyle added: “Given that I’m on my second or third lap of this industry, to get an opportunity like this is fantastic.”
He said This Morning is such an important TV show and being part of that means a lot to him.
“It’s a very important television programme as it’s the backdrop for a lot of people’s morning,” Doyle shared.
Craig will host This Morning for another two weeks with Holly, according to Crown Talent and Media Group.
Following the news, he said: “Enjoying being part of the family.”
Doyle is one of many presenters stepping in to host This Morning until a permanent replacement for Schofield is found.
