Corrie Star Pleads Not Guilty to Child Sex Charges

The charges date back to the early 90s before he was in the soap.

Andrew Lancel has pleaded not guilty to child sex charges at Liverpool Crown Court.

The former Coronation Street actor, who played villain Frank Foster, entered the plea yesterday morning.

 

The former soap star entered a not guilty plea this week.

He has been charged with six counts of indecent assault on a child under the age of sixteen.

According to BBC News the case dates back to the early 90s and involves one male victim.

 

Lancel joined Corrie back in 2011 as Frank Foster.

The 42-year-old star was charged back in November and will now face a five-day trial in June. He has been granted bail.
