Coronation Street star Ian Puleston-Davies has reportedly landed an exciting new role just days after his farewell party from the famous cobbles.
According to reports, the star has been selected to take part in a new drama on ITV called Beowulf which is based on the famous poem of the same name.
The programme, which is being likened to a new Game of Thrones, is set to be a big role for the actor.
“Ian thinks it’s unbelievable and he is so looking forward to it,” a source reportedly told The Sun.
“It’s unusual to land such a job within days of finishing at the Street,” the insider continued.
“Playing a Scandinavian warrior is a little different to Owen Armstrong, but he is well up for the challenge.”
The series is due to begin filming at the end of this month.
