Corrie Star Kate Ford Ready To Marry Again Following Painful Divorce

Coronation Street actress Kate Ford has admitted she is ready to find love again, following her divorce from TV producer Jon Connerty last year. The couple, who share a six-year old son Otis, were married for seven years before calling time on their relationship in 2013. The actress, known for her role as Tracy Barlow in the hit soap, previously revealed she found the split incredibly difficult, saying: “Things had changed and it wasn’t what it was. But it was incredibly painful. For a while after we split, I found it hard to get out of bed.” Kate plays Tracy Barlow in the ITV soap. Six months later, Ford has admitted she still struggles with being single and would like to get married again. In an interview with Woman magazine, Ford said: "I don't particularly like being single. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of family life and I'd like to be married again. "Sometimes I just want to come home and have somebody to tell about my day. If I didn't have my son I would have found my divorce harder. Having Otis made it bearable, because it's forced me to go out and meet people." Ford also revealed that her single status has made her change the way she thinks about ageing, adding: "Ageing bothered me less when I was married. Being older and single is harder than being 25 and single. "You feel it's more daunting to start again when you're approaching 40 than when you're approaching 30. That's one thing that has made my marriage break-up harder." The Coronation Street star said she feels there are some serious differences between herself and character Tracy, telling the magazine: "Tracy Barlow is supremely confident, she feels like she could have any man she wanted. She likes to feel as if she's gorgeous to men, but I'm not like that at all."
