Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has tweeted her anger at a couple featured in Channel 5 documentary Too Fat To Work.
The actress, who plays Eva Price on the soap, took to Twitter last night to express her annoyance at the fact that Stephen Beer and Michelle Coombe’s wedding was paid for using taxpayer’s money.
Too Fat To Work, which aired earlier this week, featured Stephen (45) and Michelle (43) who receive £2,000 each month in benefits including disability payments.
Stephen has not worked in five years and his wife Michelle has never worked.
The couple, who have a combined weight of 54 stone, say health problems caused by their obesity have stopped them from working.
Catherine, who has 271,000 Twitter followers, sent a series of angry tweets (see below) regarding the show.
Too Fat To Work…. This program makes me livid. Are these people for real?? Oh my God…

Being Fat is NOT disability. If the Government spent more money on the RIGHT nutritional education from an early age they would then have..

…better things to spend OUR money on than cars, kebabs, weddings, carers for those claiming to be ‘helplessly fat’. Crikey its not …

And allowing your child to eat crap everyday is not kindness…it is mindless ABUSE. You are KILLING them.
