After weeks of speculation, it has finally been confirmed – the stork WILL be paying a visit to the Royal Family.
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, aka Catherine The Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their first child.
The rumour mill had been in full swing for quite a while now, with a friend of Kate’s suggesting two weeks ago that there would be an announcement before Christmas.
William himself added fuel to the fire last week, when he accepted baby clothing as a gift.
Today the news is confirmed with an announcement from St James’s Palace stating; “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby.”
The stork is on the way – Kate and William ARE expecting!
The palace said the Duchess was admitted this afternoon to the King Edward VII Hospital in central London with acute morning sickness and is expected to stay in hospital for several days.
The couple married in April 2011 and have enjoyed immense popularity as the new media-friendly faces of the Royal Family, with Kate winning over many women with her down-to-earth nature and propensity for high-street clothes and wearing items more than once, like any normal woman, and also for a series of super-cute PDAs.
There is no word yet on how far along in the pregnancy Kate is.
