‘On cloud nine’ Nadia Forde announces engagement with sweet Instagram post

Nadia Forde has announced she is engaged to her boyfriend, Dominic Day. The rugby player popped the question while the couple were on a romantic getaway to New York. Nadia shared the happy news in a series of Instagram posts on Sunday morning Irish time. Shortly after, she gave her social media followers the first look at her ring - and it's absolutely dazzling. The model said that she was "on cloud nine" in the caption for the selfie, which showed her holding her hand with that finger up near her face. https://www.instagram.com/p/BgLdG6IAY47/?taken-by=nadiaforde The couple, who have been together since 2015, were soon flooded with well wishes from fans. The model previously told how she didn't realise that Dom was going to be a "huge force in her life" after they first met. They were introduced by mutual friends, rugby star Peter Stringer and his wife Debbie, shortly before Nadia’s mum Berenice died of cancer in 2015. She told the Sunday Independent:

“I did hear that normally when somebody leaves your life somebody important come into your life. “Obviously at the time I didn’t realise he was going to be so influential. The first night I met him I didn’t realise he was going to be this great guy. “He was really shy when we first met. I was having dinner with Peter and Debbie [Stringer] and he came in. They planned it. “He didn’t really say much but just before the end of dinner, he asked could he take me for dinner again. “[I can remember thinking] ‘We’re never going to go for dinner together’. We actually did meet for dinner and that was kind of it. “We spent the weekend together. It was as if I’ve knew him for my whole life.”
