Claire Byrne has taken her name out of the running for the Late Late Show gig.
Claire Byrne has confirmed she won’t be taking over from Ryan Tubridy as the new Late Late Show host. The broadcaster has taken her name out of the running for the role.
She said she is satisfied with her current workload and has no interest in taking on such a big role.
She also confirmed she wants to focus on her family, according to The Independent.
The RTÉ star stated:
“I have a young family, a busy home life, and a full-time radio job that I love, and right now, that is enough for me.
“While I’d never rule out other TV projects, the Late Late Show should be presented by someone who can give it the time and dedication that it deserves.”
“The show is an iconic one which demands huge commitment from the presenter, as demonstrated so well by Ryan, Pat, and Gay.”
The current front runners for the role include Sarah McInerney, Brendan O’Connor, and Patrick Kielty.
Multiple presenters have shut down claims they’ll be the new host including Angela Scanlon, Doireann Garrihy, and Lottie Ryan.
