Christopher Maloney is still talking about his X Factor experience (we know, we also think it’s time he focused his energies elsewhere).
Anyway, he revealed that he struggled to cope post-show but that it wasn’t because he didn’t win.
Christopher Maloney made it all the way to the final of last year’s show.
He told Now magazine: “I had a breakdown. I went home the Monday after the show finished and a psychologist came to see me.
“I wasn’t struggling because I was a sore loser, but because of all I’d had to endure.” (To be fair he did get a LOT of criticism.)
The singer apparently found it difficult when the competition ended.
Christopher, who recently admitted he was gay, also said that he smoothed everything over with his mentor Gary Barlow who he hit out at on Twitter.
“I didn’t even know what I was doing. I’ve spoken to Gary since. He knows that I didn’t know where my head was at. I felt like everyone had turned against me,” he explained.
