Christian Bale plays a superhero on the big screen but recently has proven that he’s also a bit of a hero in real-life too.
According to online reports today the film star flew a leukaemia patient and his family to Los Angeles for lunch at Disneyland’s Club 33.
Four year old Jayden Barber has been fighting since the age of two and despite having a few complications is now in remission.
As a treat for the brave boy and those closest to him, Christian took them all out to enjoy something to eat.

Jayden’s mother, Charlene, posted a number of photographs on Facebook of the outing under the group heading of ‘Lighting the Batsignal for Jayden.’
She also wrote: “The entire interaction was like old friends having lunch… They talked movies and super heroes and he was genuinely happy to hear about everything Jayden wanted to tell him.
“Christian, his wife and daughter are three of the most beautiful people we have ever met! Christian made these arrangements especially for us personally and ensure we were treated like royalty.”
And it isn’t the first time The Dark Knight Rises star has reached out to those in need. Earlier this year he visited the victims of the Colorado cinema shooting in hospital.
