Chrissy Teigen shares very relatable parenting struggle – “They hate it”

Sophie Collins

Chrissy Teigen may be a model and bestselling cookbook author, but when it comes to parenting, she’s just like any other mom – especially when dealing with picky eaters.

On February 12th, Teigen took to her Instagram Stories to share a classic dinnertime struggle with her youngest children, Esti and Wren.

After preparing a homemade meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas, and carrots, she was met with a familiar battle – complete refusal.

“Please eat it, please eat it. Can you please try it?” she begged, as her little ones, seated in their highchairs, remained unimpressed.

In a follow-up video, the 39-year-old shared a message of solidarity with fellow parents facing the same challenge.

“To all the moms struggling out there with dinner – it does not matter. You can spend three hours making it or five minutes making it, it doesn’t matter. They hate it.”

Her frustration was understandable, considering she had documented the meal prep process earlier in the evening.

However, she did reveal a time-saving trick – using instant mashed potatoes.

“These are so good and took me 4 minutes,” she admitted. “I’m losing it over how good they are, nobody’s going to know.”

This wasn’t the only parenting moment Teigen shared with her kids recently.

A few days prior, she posted a photo of herself taking a coconut milk bath with three of her children.

As with anything on the internet, some onlookers questioned the choice to share the personal moment.

Some even took issue with the bathwater’s appearance, and asked: “Why is she always in dirty bathwater?” one commenter asked.

Teigen was quick to shut down the remark, as she explained: “It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin, but go off!”
