Chrissy Teigen lost the run of herself announcing Zayn and Gigi’s baby news

There’s nothing quite like celebrity pregnancy news to perk Twitter up of a Tuesday night in lockdown.

And if that announcement happens to pertain to a former One Direction member and a Victoria’s Secret model, you can expect a landslide reaction.

So, in case you missed it, last night word broke that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid were expecting their first child together, and according to reports, the 25-year-old model is already 20 weeks pregnant.

Now, here’s the thing – neither Gigi nor Zayn have confirmed the reports, but that hasn’t stopped fellow celebrities from rushing in with words of congratulations.

Adding to the Twitter maelstrom in recent hours, a massively excited Chrissy Teigen posted a message celebrating the reports.

Gigi Hadid is pregnant and Gigi from shahs had her baby today!!! it is a big day for gigis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to all Gigis!!!!

However, the mother-of-two suddenly made an abrupt U-turn when she realised neither Zayn nor Gigi had confirmed the reports which were, at this point, gathering serious momentum in the die-hard Directioner camp.

Grasping onto one salient fact from her original tweet, Chrissy reiterated her report from the Shahs of Sunset camp before revealing she knew as much about the Malik/Hadid baby as anyone else on Twitter.

So while Chrissy might not have the inside scoop, TMZ certainly seems to, citing close sources who asserted that the family are very excited by the news.

The couple, who first started dating in 2015 before breaking up and reuniting in recent months, have been quarantining in Gigi’s family farm in Pennsylvania where they celebrated the model’s 25th birthday this week.
