Some claimed she was having a “midlife crisis”.
Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has spoken about the reaction she received when she announced that she was in a relationship with G-Flip.
Chrishell and G-Flip began dating after they met on the set of one of G-Flip’s videos last year. The realtor shared the news during last year’s Selling Sunset reunion.
In an interview with Vogue Australia, the pair shared how the world reacted to news they were together.
Chrishell said: “Of course we had supportive messages, but it was an unbelievable flood of trolling. Every day I’m seeing like three positive comments and then hundreds of puke emojis and midlife crisis comments.”
She added: “At first, it felt so heavy, like, ‘What have you done?’ because it brought all this negativity to G’s life.”
Later on in the interview, G-Flip suggests that if they wanted to, they could have “kept everything quiet”, but they decided not to do so because then the trolls “win”.
“They quiet you and take your voice,” they said.
Invasive comments about her relationship with G are nothing new to Chirshell. Last year, she pleaded with fans to stop asking if they were planning on having children.
On her Instagram stories, she shared a question from a fan which read: “You didn’t want to have children?”
To this, Chrishell said: “Please stop asking me this. At least this one didn’t include hate I refuse to give a voice to by reposting. I plan on adopting.
“I understand being on Selling Sunset entitles people to questions & my life in a way. But I am tired of this question.
“Thank you for the love & support to others – I fell in love with a person. It’s not that scandalous. Love is a beautiful thing.”
