He might be one of the funniest men out there at the moment but we wouldn’t be surprised if he got a clip round the ear for his recent comments.
Chris O’Dowd reportedly agreed that it’s difficult to be both attractive and funny after admiring Girls writer and star Lena Durham for her talent.
Well Dawn seems to be able to make him laugh anyway!
“Her writing is so great, and I think this is a golden age for female comedy writers, it’s a fun little part to play,” he told Grazia magazine.
Chris has appeared in a few episodes of the series and apparently wants to be in more because of the standard of writing.
Although the Bridesmaids actor did add that he believes that sexiness and funniness don’t go together all that well: “I think there’s something in the fact that it’s hard to be good looking and funny.
“You have to have an oddball quality; people have to sympathise with you to find you funny,” the 33-year-old star explained. Wonder what wife Dawn Porter thinks about that?!
The Sapphires actor has a bit of a thing for singing superstar Beyoncé.
Although we’re more interested in what she thinks of the fact that her hubby said he wouldn’t remember who she was if Beyoncé came along.
He joked: “Beyoncé is the most amazing woman in the world. Waaay before Dawn. If Beyoncé looked at me twice I would forget Dawn’s name.” Well we hope he was joking anyway!
And also, we reckon that Chris needs to call into the office some time so that we can prove to him that women can be pretty and funny.
