Chris Hemsworth plays Owen Chase in upcoming action adventure movie In the Heart of the Sea and he had to change dramatically for the role.
Taking to social media last night, the 32-year-old posted the below photo captioned: “Just tried a new diet/training program called “Lost At Sea”. Wouldn’t recommend it.. #IntheHeartoftheSea”.

The movie follows the aftermath of the 1820 maritime disaster, upon which Moby Dick is based, where a whale attacked a vessel.
Chris stars as Owen, the ship’s first mate and he previously spoke to Nightline about the role, saying that he would think twice before signing up for such a gruelling role again.
“Throughout the shoot, each week or two we’d reduce the calories, down, down until, we were at about 500 or 600 calories a day for the last couple week”.
I can’t say that I want to do it again, I read things now and if it has any mention of being skinny, I’m like that’s a pass”.
