Chris Evans and Alba Baptista had two secret wedding ceremonies

Chris Evans is officially off the market!

Appearing at New York Comic Con on October 14th, the 42-year-old shared the details of his big day with the audience, sporting a wedding band on that all-important finger.

"I got married! It was really, really great," he told the crowd, before revealing that he said "I do" not once but twice, one on the East Coast in Massachusetts, and another in Portugal, where Alba's family lives. 

"We kinda had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast. We did one in Portugal. My wife’s Portuguese. Yeah, go Portugal. They were wonderful and beautiful," he said.

"It’s a lot, planning a wedding. For those [of] you who are married, it takes a lot out of you. Now that we're through that, we've just kinda been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn; my favourite season.

"It's like, the best time of year right now. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting." 

According to PageSix, it took a lot of planning to keep their vows out of the spotlight, including getting guests to sign NDAs and "phones were forfeited".

It was a star-studded event as Chris' Avengers co-stars like Robert Downey Jr, Thor actor Chris Hemsworth and Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner, showed up to watch their friend and his bride say their vows.

Elba and Chris reportedly first met in 2021, but decided to keep their romance out of the spotlight before the two got more serious in 2022. They went public towards the end of the year when the actor shared his highlights from the year, including a series of pictures including the actress.
