The law is cracking down on driving offences, and it seems even celebrities can’t escape the courts in Ireland.
Entertainer and panto extraordinaire Twink showed her face to the courts yesterday and got fined for driving without insurance and with for having her dog Mary hanging out the window. Not joking.
But Twink wasn’t the only familiar face to stand in the box yesterday, mum-of-three and former wife of singer Ronan Keating, Yvonne Keating, also found herself pleading with a judge, the Irish Sun reports.
Twink appeared in court on driving offences yesterday as well.
The 39-year-old model apologised to the judge for wasting court time.
She appeared at Dublin District Court on two summonses for driving a 09-reg car without holding a licence near her home at Swords Road in Malahide, Dublin in August of last year and failing to produce a licence after a garda demand.
Yvonne showed her licence yesterday and the case was struck out.
Before leaving, she said she was sorry “for wasting the court’s time”.
