Do you see a bald head as sexy and distinguished or do you recoil when you see a receding hairline ladies?
We’ve spotted a few celebrity men masking their baldness with hair implants lately, with soccer player Wayne Rooney making the first move towards a fuller ‘fro last year. And we must say Louis Walsh was looking ten years younger on his first day back in the ‘X-Factor’ judge’s chair.
Surely, all celebrity men will be a bit conscious of their “high forehead” now and take to the hair surgery…
It seems not. British reality television star Calum Best has laughed off rumours he’s been visiting a top hair clinic to stop his hairline receding. Only a few weeks hanging around with the GAA crowd and he is already as tough as nails. Receding hairline? Huh, so what?
Calum, 31, recently signed up to RTÉ’s reality television show ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’ and is staying in Ireland for the few weeks as he coaches his Mayo local football team to reality TV success.
He was spotted among the 81,364 spectators at Croke Park last weekend who watched Mayo defeat Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final.
“Bro I need one and got no shame to do that haha,” the reality star and son of soccer legend George Best tweeted to a friend after he was asked if there was truth in the rumours he’s been secretly visiting a posh Dublin hair clinic.
Calum will face another tough, balding man in his first match as part of the ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’ series. The 31-year-old will face King of the Travellers and Celebrity Big Brother winner Paddy Doherty’s Clontarf team .
Whichever celebrity wins the first match will have to become the other manager’s assistant for the remainder of the games, as part of a new rivalry twist in the show.
Grrr, we can sense the suspense already! Bets are being put down on how long it will take Calum to return to his old, preened, pre-GAA self after the series…
We’ll be watching out for the fuller ‘fro…
The new series of ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’ begins this Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One.
