Olympic gold medallist and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Bruce Jenner is reportedly transitioning into a woman with the support of his family, following months of speculation over his changing appearance.
According to People magazine, the 65-year old finally feels comfortable with his choice to identify as transgender, saying:
“Bruce is transitioning to a woman. He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he’s doing. He’s in such a great space. That’s why it’s the perfect time to do something like this.”
Bruce Jenner divorced ex-wife Kris after 23-years of marriage last month
As well as rumoured plans to air his decision to transition in an upcoming show of KUWTK with step-daughter Khloe, the star will film his journey with viewers on a docu-series later this year.
According to The Daily Mail:
“It will air when he is ready to be open about his transition. But he’s acting more and more confident and seems very happy,” confirmed a close family source.
US Weekly report that the docu-series will address Jenner’s decision to transition and his family’s reaction to his coming out as transgender.
Jenner’s physical appearance has been under media speculation for months, but the Olympian has chosen to transition slowly to help his family adapt to the change.
When quizzed by Entertainment Tonight about his changing appearance, step-daughter Kim Kardashian told hosts:
“I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right.
“He’s our dad so we support him no matter what, and I think when the time is right, he’ll talk about whatever he wants to talk about.”
Jenner, who divorced wife Kris last month after 23 years of marriage, has not yet confirmed the news.
