Britney Spears is worried her ex-husband was working with her father all along.

Britney Spears, 41, believes that Sam Asghari, 29, was "secretly working" with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, according to sources close to the singer. Their short-lived marriage came to an end last month with Asghari announcing the pair was going their separate ways after just one year of marriage. Spears, however, fears that her husband may have been feeding her father personal information about her and her lifestyle after she cut ties with him after she was released from her ten-year conservatorship. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source, who is allegedly close to the family, says the Gimme More singer has been suspicious of Ashghari's motives for a while now. "Sam would supply information to Jamie that would help to keep her locked in the conservatorship. In exchange, Sam was given access to her and her money. "Britney now feels like Sam was being deceitful all along," the source claimed. "Britney was done with Sam months ago and was very unhappy," they added. "There were plans in place to set Sam up with his own place and give him money to live on so that it would be amicable," the source added. This seems to be the case as sources have revealed to TMZ that the Toxic singer is paying an estimated $10,000 a month for Sam's new apartment in Los Angeles. Despite the breakdown of her marriage, Spears has been sharing positive content with her followers.
