Former Westlife star Brian McFadden said he’d prefer to be a stay-at-home dad than pursue his career in showbusiness.

The 33-year-old and his wife Vogue have just moved to London from Oz and he has revealed they have already started planning a family together.

The former popstar said he would happily give up his career to be a stay-at-home dad and let Vogue become the home’s breadwinner.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Brian said, “I’d like to see Vogue concentrate on her career. I’d be happy to be a stay-at-home dad.”

Brian is already dad to two daughters with his ex Kerry Katona, Molly, 11, and Lily, 10.

Vogue said she doesn’t feel any rush in starting a family but she did want to set up home in London.

“I don’t feel I’m in any rush, but it’s one of the reasons I wanted to make a base here,” the 27-year-old said.

“I think 30 would be a good age, I still have lots of things I want to achieve.”

The couple have been based in Sydney, Australia for the last two years but decided to move back to the UK after Brian’s recent tour with Ronan Keating.

“It was my first time touring in eight years and I didn’t know how it was going to be.

“When I got such a good response after the first few gigs, I thought if ever I was going to come back and put an album out and do a tour, this was obviously the time.

“I think TV had made my music suffer. I’d spent all my time doing TV and promotion and not the thing I love, which is live performance.”
