So it’s just over twenty-four hours until the Olympic opening ceremony commences, igniting two weeks of traffic pandemonium on London residents, but on a more positive note, shining a light illuminating London into global stardom.
My new show Beat TV (a live weekday entertainment show about the Olympics) starts this week in the UK on ITV2 and in Ireland on TV3 as well as across 35 other countries around the world. Pretty cool, if slightly scary!
I’ll be sandwiched between two lovely cohosts, Dave Berry and Darren McMullen, so it’s a pretty sweet deal.

I managed to squeeze in a little trip home to the green isle earlier this week to see Madonna play the Aviva stadium in Dublin and take a break from the big smoke. Madonna split the crowd – the ‘f*cking rain’, to quote Queen Madge, was a bit of a dampener, but for devout material girl groupies the night was magical… If a bit wet. And sure who doesn’t love Madonna flashing a bit of skin… Or to be more specific, two incredibly toned ass cheeks!

I was back in my hometown of Bray and showed my Londoner mate Natalia, who was experiencing Ireland for the first time, around where I come from. This of course included some frolicking upon Bray Head, a 99 ice cream from Teddy’s and a walk along the very windy promenade.
A hairy situation in windy Bray
Bray is plastered with Katie Taylor posters, supporting her Olympic efforts, and just before I headed back, I put a €500 bet on with Ladbrokes for her to take the gold, with all winnings going to my charity of choice Plan Ireland. No matter how Katie ranks though, she’s done women, and her country, very proud.
