A New Year and a new start for Irish television presenter Kathryn Thomas.
The newly-single TV personality rang in the New Year on a girls-only holiday in sun-kissed Spain.
The thirty-four-year-old is single again, but looked far from heartbroken as she enjoyed some cocktails with the girls on their laid-back holiday.
The Carlow native is holidaying with her sister Linda and close pal Mary Kay Sheehy in Spain, where they have rented a villa.
Kathryn showed off her enviable curves in a navy and red bikini and posed for holiday snaps without a care in the world. She was showing no signs of heartache following her split with boyfriend of five years, Garda Enda Waters.
The couple parted ways in July but the break-up didn’t become public until November. Kathryn admitted it was tough for the former couple to go their separate ways.
“It was good to have my own time to get my head around it and deal with it, because it’s not called a break-up for nothing.
“It’s horrendous for anyone to go through,” she told the Irish Independent.
“The good thing is, we are still good friends.
“There is always going to be a huge sadness for a while.
“When you spend five-and-a-half years with somebody, it’s a long time and it’s an adjustment, I think I’m still adjusting.”
She added: “I’m generally a positive person. I think I do throw myself into work and my own friends and, for me, that’s a coping mechanism.”
Kathryn also credited having “great friends and family” for helping her get through the split.
And it’ll be a non-stop schedule for Kathryn once she’s back on Irish shores again where she’ll have her hands full presenting Operation Transformation and The Voice Of Ireland.
