They’re regularly named as some of the most desirable women in the planet but actor Rupert Everett has hit out at stars including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian for setting a bad example with their “huge legs”.
In a startling interview published over the weekend, the My Best Friend’s Wedding star launched a scathing attack at current perceptions of beauty, saying that he “grew up with the ideal of female beauty being delicate with long, slim legs”.
“Now it’s terribly ‘in’ for women to have these huge great legs with massive thighs,” he said.
“Rihanna has them, Kim Kardashian has them, Beyoncé has them, with her elephant ankles and gigantic a***. I think it’s the reason these great big clumpy shoes are fashionable – to support these huge legs they all have.”
Not content with his attack on her looks, Everett continued to claim that the Crazy In Love singer has a massive ego and did not give birth to daughter Blue Ivy.
“I watched the Alan Yentob documentary on her. Fascinating. She talked about marriage like no other woman had ever been through it. And there’s no way she had that baby,” he said.
“That little hump she had was no way a pregnancy bump. She’d have got someone else to have that baby. Her and Jay-Z live like a modern-day Greek god and goddess. It’s unbelievable.”
Other low points of Mr Everett’s interview include calling Lady Gaga’s music “terribly conventional” and accusing today’s pop musicians as “overtly selling sex”.
