Power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé have found some new friends to play with in the form of US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, and threw them a lavish fundraising party last night.
It’s totally awkward but it seems that Beyoncé forgot to put Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on the guest list!
Although it was reported that Beyoncé and Kim didn’t hit it off we thought that the twosome would work out their differences for the sake of their men, who have been buddies for years.
But it is clear that the Single Ladies singer has set her sights on a new best friend for Jay-Z, and that new friend is Barack Obama.

The lavish party, which was held in the rapper’s 40/40 club in New York yesterday, was attended by 100 guests and we’re sure a fat cheque book was a party necessity.
The club has recently undergone a €7.6 million revamp.
“It’s floor-to-ceiling gold bottles in the entire space. It’s beautiful — breathtaking,” a staff member told The New York Post.
Jay-Z made sure to tell Twitter fans that Obama would be in attendance.
“Guest list. Obama plus 40,” he wrote.
It’s not just Beyoncé and Jay-Z keen to make friends with the Obamas as the President spoke about how his children look up to the Crazy in Love singer at last night’s event.

“To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship,” Obama told his hosts.
“Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls.”
“We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are,” he said.
“So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s okay,” Obama joked.
Her.ie thinks it’s just a matter of time before Jay-Z and Beyoncé become regular visitors at the White House but we’re thinking Kim and Kanye won’t be coming along!
