KPMG, who have been appointed trustees for the McCutcheon bankruptcy, have released a statement following the petition stating: “We are now responsible for administering her estate and are in the process of establishing the individual’s assets and liabilities, the largest creditor being Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.”

The star is rumoured to owe in the region of a quarter of a million. She will be discharged from bankruptcy in January of next year.

According to her management, the Love Actually actress is working on a follow up to her novel, The Mistress and is back in the studio recording new material.
