Niall Horan was left feeling disappointed when Glenda Gilson didn’t accept his invitation to go out for drinks in Dublin on Thursday night.
Apparently One Direction, who arrived into the capital city earlier than expected, had a right old laugh in Lillies and the Grafton Lounge but the Xposé star didn’t join them despite being invited.
We’re sure there are a few females out there who would have jumped at the opportunity!
Niall and Glenda are friends but she didn’t join him for drinks this week.
Model Glenda explained exactly what happened: “I asked them on Xposé if we were going to be reading about them snogging any Irish girls and they all said Niall.
“And I said, ‘Niall, did you pick up an Irish girl?’ And he said, ‘No, you didn’t turn up.’ He’d been wanting me to go out but I didn’t as I don’t want to be the new Caroline Flack and be hated by every woman in the world. I refused that one,” she told the Irish Daily Mirror.
The pair, who have been friends for a while now, were talking ahead of the band’s appearance on The Late Late Show yesterday evening.

Speaking of which, thousands of teenage girls descended on the RTÉ studios in the hope of catching a glimpse of the five-piece.
Somebody said: “It was absolute madness… They were all arriving after school – some even dropped off by their mums… One Direction really were the biggest thing in the country.”
