Christy Dignam has been diagnosed with cancer after he was admitted to hospital for a chest infection.
The Aslan singer was taken into hospital this week but following tests has been diagnosed with and is due to start treatment for cancer.

The news was announced via a statement on the band’s Facebook page which reads: “Christy was admitted to hospital with a suspected chest infection, this progressed into pneumonia.
“After numerous tests he was diagnosed with cancer. He is to undergo treatment immediately and will be unable to perform until doctors advise it is safe to do so.”
The 52-year-old has a wife Kathryn and daughter Kiera who have asked for privacy at this difficult time and thanked fans for their support so far.
