The last we heard, Robert Pattinson was hiding out on Reese Witherspoon’s ranch in California and Kristen Stewart was seeking advice from her on-screen mammy, Jodie Foster – but are the former lovebirds back in touch?
The Irish Daily Star reports that pushy friends have managed to get the pair talking again, apparently, although it is unlikely that there is any forgiveness on the horizon for K-Stew.
Rob had been giving Kristen the silent treatment ever since it was revealed that she had cheated on him with Rupert Sanders, the director of her latest film Snow White and the Huntsman. But now it seems that the ice between the two of them has thawed ever so slightly.
“Rob and Kristen are finally back in contact. But it doesn’t seem like he is going to forgive her any time soon,” said a source.
“She has been bombarding him with tearful texts, and now his friends have insisted he hears her out,” the source added.
Rob and Kristen: back on speaking terms?
Apparently Rob is finally ready to talk to Kristen and hear her side of the story, however the source also stressed that the “chances of a reconciliation are looking very slim.”
Meanwhile, Liberty Ross, the wife of Rupert Sanders, is insisting that he never works with Kristen again.
“Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can’t direct the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. She just doesn’t want him to ever work with Kristen again,” said a source.
“Rupert is obviously disappointed because Snow White and the Huntsman was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews,” the source added.
But despite this, it seems like Rupert is willing to stay quiet and meet his wife’s demands on this one. According to reports, he knows his actions were “inexcusable” and all he wants is to keep Liberty happy.
