The former couple, whose divorce has dominated the headlines for more than seven years, have been offered a combined $60 million to star in the film.
Producer Danny Rossner is willing to pay above their usual rates to get them on board - a reported $37.5 million for Brad and $22 million for Angelina.
He is banking on the unmatched box office appeal of their chemistry, which fans first saw in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
The film would cast Brad as Emmanuel Martinez, the charismatic hotel owner, and Angelina as Emma Digard, his muse and mistress.
The project’s bold love story mirrors their real-life drama, which includes custody battles and accusations of abuse following their 2016 split.
Despite unresolved legal tensions, Rossner is optimistic about the potential for the pair to seriously consider the project.
“If peace can be brokered between nations, surely Brad and Angelina can work together,” he said.
Whether the pair accepts the offer remains to be seen, but their potential reunion promises to be more than just a movie - it would be a full on Hollywood event.
Hollywood’s most infamous exes, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, may reunite on the big screen in a World War II-era drama based on The Hotel Martinez.
