Another Day, Another Bizarre Beauty Treatment For Kim Kardashian

She's known for oversharing on Twitter and for her obsession with her looks, and it seems even pregnancy hasn't stopped Kim from indulging in another bizarre beauty treatment.

Taking to the social networking site, the mama-to-be shared a snap with fans and followers of her getting accupuncture on her face, and claimed that she found the procedure very relaxing.

Accupuncture is often used by pregnant women who want to alieviate the symptoms of pregnancy without resorting to medicine.

However, the brunette beauty could possibly be using the ancient Chinese art as an anti-ageing method too. 

Beauty is pain...

According to Colorado acupuncturist Martha Lucas, acupuncture is a good alternative for women who would rather avoid a surgical facelift.

'Acupuncture is designed to free up chi, or energy,' the doctor told WebMD. 'When the needles -  approximately 30-40 - are applied to the body and face, production of collagen and elastin may be stimulated,' which results in the skin looking 'plumped up.'

'It helps your own body create a more youthful appearance,' she added.

Kim has also undergone a painful blood facial in an effort to hang onto her youthful appearance

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has undergone several aternative beauty treatments of late, including a blood facial where her own blood, taken from her arm, was applied to her face using tiny needles.  

We know beauty is pain but is Kim taking it a little bit too far?
